The Blue Yeti iCE microphone is on sale on Amazon

If you’re looking for something that can spice up your work-from-home setup, the Blue Yeti iCE microphone is a great choice. Not only will it make you sound better on video calls, but the retro-futuristic design adds a touch of style to any desk – and who doesn’t need a little more decor during the workday? It’s also a fantastic option for Twitch streamers who are just starting out and don’t want to invest a lot of money in a more expensive microphone. And right now it’s on sale for $40. Even better? If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber you can pick up this deal and have it wrapped up and under the tree before Christmas.

This microphone is Skype and Discord certified, meaning both programs will easily recognize it and allow you to use it without much configuration. It uses a cardioid pickup pattern which means sound coming from the front is clearer.

The mic uses a three-pronged tripod that gives it plenty of support, with just enough give to reduce interference from a wobbly desk. This is especially useful for streamers who might hit their keyboard a little more aggressively than most (but we still recommend using a mic stand for game streaming!)

One user called it a “game changer”: “The sound is fantastic, crisp with volume options that create the perfect sound in my audio recordings. Such a big difference and so easy to use!” Another user agreed, citing its effectiveness while gaming: “I set it up on a whim to play with someone I barely know online. I’ve played a bit with my headphones on and haven’t had any issues. I’ve tested the settings volume control on Windows with my friend. Set to 100%. I placed the microphone right behind my keyboard. I played through my speakers blaring. He listened to me the whole time”.

“This product lives up to the name and reputation. I’ve been hearing about this brand and this mic specifically for years. Almost every YouTuber/Streamer I’ve seen over the last 8 years has used or recommended it at some point of their career,” said one customer, who called it the best entry-level microphone. “I have to do the same. Everything is great, the sound quality, the ability to pick up just your voice, and wide’s customization options to fit your perfect setup.”
