by Vail has many upscale and expensive hotels and condos, and very few budget options. The resort has grown over the years and now stretches nearly four miles along highway I-70.
While there is a good shuttle bus service, it is more convenient to stay near the main mountain access lifts in the Tyrolean-style village of Vail or the modern village of Lionshead. Golden Peak is a quieter base and also has a fast chair lift for the slopes. For cheaper accommodation, there is also the option of staying downstream, at Avon, for example, 10 miles from Vail.

Opened in 1962 as one of Vail’s first luxury hotels, the Lodge in Vail Village is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay, just steps from Gondola One. One of Vail’s most luxurious and prestigious hotels, with 121 guest units ranging from guestrooms to four-bedroom condominiums, the Four Seasons is located on the edge of Vail Village, about a 10-minute walk from the Gondola. The hotel offers a ski concierge service: guests leave their skis or boards and boots at the base of the slopes and pick them up the next morning. The large outdoor pool and hot tubs have views of Vail Mountain, and there’s an elegant spa area with a sauna, steam room, relaxation garden, and treatment rooms.

Vail Racquet Club
Offering plenty of space and great value, the one, two and three bedroom condos at Vail Racquet Lodge come with fully equipped kitchens and have access to a large outdoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. whirlpool, and free fitness classes. Located in a wooded area east of Vail, it’s a 15-minute shuttle to the ski lifts and Vail Village.

Horns in Vail
Right next to the River Gore, about a 130m walk from the Eagle Bahn gondola at Lionshead, with a free shuttle bus stop to Vail Village right outside, Antlers is an “all condo” hotel suitable for families and groups.
