Full I am a celebrity 2022 training was announced.
A new selection of famous faces will enter the Australian jungle for the first time since 2019. For the past two years, the ITV show has taken place in Wales due to Covid regulations.
However, the stars participating in the new series, which kicks off on Sunday (November 6), have made it to Down Under in the last week, with ITV confirming the lineup on Monday (October 31).
One such celebrity is former Culture Club singer Boy George, who is said to have signed as the highest-paid star in the show’s 20-year history. His participation comes just under seven months after he said he “he would never” do the show.
DJ Chris Moyles is confirmed to be appearing as well, as is former professional rugby player Mike Tindall, who is married to Queen Zara Tindall’s niece, is the first member of the royal family to appear on the show.
Tindall isn’t the only sports star to appear; Jill Scott, who was part of the English team that won the European Championships earlier this year, was chosen by the producers, while soap opera Owen Warner (Romeo Nightingale in Hollyoaks) and Sue Cleaver (Eileen Grimshaw in Way of the Coronation) will take part.
This year Loose women the presenter to participate will be Charlene White, with Olivia Atwood becoming the first ever The island of love star to appear in the series.
Leading the comedy will be stand-up comedian Babatunde Aleshe, who recently won over fans with his appearances in Celebrity glasses box.
Meanwhile, Scarlette Douglas, who left as a host A Place in the Sun earlier this year, it will enter the jungle.
The starting lineup does not include comedian Seann Walsh, but he is believed to join the show a few days after the other contestants.
Walsh was embroiled in a betrayal scandal in 2018 when he appeared on a BBC series Come and dance strictly after being caught kissing his professional partner despite the two having an affair.
In May 2021, Walsh claimed the accident “destroyed” his career and left him with panic attacks on the street.
The new series will be presented by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. Previous winners of the series include Emmerdale star Danny Miller, podcaster and author Giovanna Fletcher, Westlife singer Kian Egan and Made in Chelseais Georgia “Toff” Toffolo.
I’m a 2022 celebrity starts Sunday 6 November at 9pm on ITV.
