THE banquet hall of a famous Bradford restaurant has been refurbished for over £200,000.
The Aagrah Midpoint Suite, at the Thornbury site, has undergone a significant upgrade.
The investment is intended to make the suite one of the most luxurious five-star hospitality venues in the north of England.
This is a purpose built site used for conferences, banquets and award ceremonies. The works took place up to last month in the suite and included new floors, stages, furnishings and technological structures.
Seating 400, Aagrah bosses say it has been refurbished with a state-of-the-art sound system to meet the needs of the event.

To stay on top of the expanding hospitality industry and remain relevant to a large and increasingly discerning clientele, Aagrah says the investment demonstrates the businesses confidence for further plans for growth and job creation.

On Tuesday, December 6, the company officially opened its new banquet and conference center.
Playing key roles, Noorie Sabir created the interior design of the Midpoint Suite, while Yousef Mahmood’s progressive vision for the new suite looks set to move the business forward.

Aagrah Midpoint, a multi-million pound purpose-built restaurant and banqueting suite, opened in 2009 and the launch was attended by 1,000 guests over a two-day celebration.
The Aagrah empire was founded in Shipley in 1977 and has grown into a highly successful and award-winning business with nearly a dozen restaurants across the north.

It still has a site at Shipley on Saltaire Road along with the Aagrah Midpoint at Thornbury and sites in Skipton, Leeds and beyond.
For decades it has been one of the district’s and country’s benchmarks in the world of South Asian cuisine, with its authentic Kashmiri dishes being awarded numerous awards over the years.

Its CEO, Mohammed Aslam, has worked his way up from the city’s textile mills to become one of the leading figures in Aagrah, serving as the restaurant chain’s figurehead. For his efforts he was awarded an MBE.
