Gone are the days of billowing, traditional dresses on hold. These days, many pregnant women are celebrating their bodies and continuing to dress the way they did pre-pregnancy with Heather Rae El Moussa, the latest mom-to-be doing maternity fashion her way.
The For sale Sunset the star, who is currently expecting her first child with Tarek El Moussa, worked on the bump baring trend at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards last night.
El Moussa, who is also stepmom to Tarek’s two children with ex-wife, Christina Hall, wore a shimmery sheer David Koma gown, with a thigh-high slit and a black bandeau top and black underwear underneath.
She completed the look with black strappy FEMME LA stilettos and SHAY Jewelery earrings.

The realtor, 35, appeared at the awards alongside her Netflix co-stars Jason Oppenheim, Davina Potratz, Chelsea Lazkani and Mary Fitzgerald.

Posting to her Instagram Stories after the event, El Moussa said she “feels so beautiful” in the ensemble.
The reality star’s look follows similar outfits worn by a number of expectant ladies. Rihanna, who welcomed her baby in May, famously worked on a series of bold maternity outfits after announcing her pregnancy to A$AP Rocky in January of this year.
Victoria’s Secrets model Adriana Lima has also quickly followed the trend at this year’s 75th Cannes Film Festival, where she looked stunning in a black Balmain gown.
The floor-length dress was made with a pleated fabric that was draped around her torso to reveal her pregnant stomach. Lima gave birth to her third child, a son named Cyan, in August.

Stacey Dooley has also been seen flaunting her bare baby bump since announcing her pregnancy with former Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton in August.
The show’s former contestant kept her casually cool style throughout her pregnancy, rocking a softly pleated pastel pink co-ord to a strictly ballroom party in October this year that bared the bottom of her baby bump.
However, Rihanna, Dooley and Lima are not pioneers of the style movement. Kim Kardashian wore a sheer lace gown to the LACMA Art + Film Gala when she was pregnant with her child, Saint West, in 2015.
Kate Hudson was also an early pioneer of the trend, showing off her baby bump in a silver skirt and sheer silver bandeau top during the 2003 Venice Film Festival.
